About Tree Surgeons Sometimes referred to as arborists, a tree surgeon works to help cultivate, manage and study trees. All surgeons are fully trained and qualified to ensure both your and their safety. Without appropriate training, there is potential for property damage, injuries, and harm to the health of a tree.
It is important that any work carried out is to British Standard (BS3998: 2010 ---Tree Work Recommendations). Furthermore, each surgeon must hold either an NPTC or Lantra Award. This ensures that they are safe to use pieces of equipment including chainsaws.
In this job role it is important to be physically fit and have a high level of discipline. This ensures that you will be capable of working at heights safely and climbing trees.
